What does the club do?

We’re active throughout the year with weekly SRT climbing practice, monthly caving trips, and regular nights out.

Monthly Caving Trips

Every month we visit County Fermanagh for a weekend of caving in and around the area. Each day is spent exploring vast underground chambers, overcoming challenging natural obstacles, and finding some truly spectacular cave formations. No prior caving experience is required so please get in touch with us if you’d like to book a place on one of our monthly trips.

Weekly SRT Climbing Practice

We meet on Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm at the Everest Wall in the main sports hall of Queen’s Sport’s Queen’s Sport’s Physical Education Centre. Single-Rope Technique (SRT) is a set of methods used to descend and ascend on the same single rope which is especially useful for accessing some of the harder to reach areas deep underground. While not all caves require SRT climbing skills to explore, be sure to attend our weekly practice sessions if you’d like to have a fuller caving experience.
